05 Durango 4.7 swap into 08 Ram 4.7

What major issues will I be looking at to take
4.7 from a 2005 Dodge Durango and swap it
into my 2008 Ram 1500 with 4.7?

The wire harness and PCM will be the two biggest issues. Motor mounts should be ok. Check out dodgedurango.net for any how to guides.

Ninja, I was going to mention that, but if he swaps over everything, engine/trans, harness, computer it shouldn't matter. 4.7s in Durangos switched from 16 to 32 in 2002 making any swaps across that year require a computer swap or reprogram. It's just swapping out computers is when you run into the antitheft wall.

the donor Durango has everything intact but the transmission is shot, still have a working transmission in the ram though... am I reading they won’t marry up?
