Brake noise

Asked by GuruC8RB7 Mar 01, 2019 at 12:38 PM about the 2017 Audi Q3 2.0T quattro Premium AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

New brakes, rotors, along with axel and control arm 6 mos. ago after hitting a curb.  Brakes make a rubbing noise, but not all the time.  Will do it if wet, dry, humid, not humid, etc.  It will go a day or two making the noise and a day or two not.   Took to shop, would not make it for the mechanics of course, they looked at it, tried to replicate the noise and found nothing.

Also check the wheel bearing, these can fail after an impact and cause this noise as well.
