I have a 2017 Buick Lacrosse. The center console in the back seat area has two vents presumably for heat and A/C, but nothing comes out of them. Is this a fault or is there a setting for that?

I found out from a technician at the dealership that the rear seat heater does not work if the driver has set the climate to "Auto". The climate setting has to be manual primarily through the upper vents in the front with manual control of the fan speed.
