My brakes lights won’t turn on when I hit the brake pedal.

Asked by Jay Apr 28, 2022 at 06:40 PM about the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.4L AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I’ve changed the bulbs in the back for my
brakes lights but nothing changed. When I turn
my head lights on they do turn on but not when
I hit my brakes. Then I thought it was the fuse,
so I checked the diagram and found out he fuse
was broken (stop lamp 15) so I replaced it and
still nothing.

It's likely a defective or out of adjustment brake light switch at the brake peddle. It looks like a little plunger.
