Take it you tried disconnecting the positive terminal, counted one mississippi, two mississippi, the reconnected it after having first cleaned the areas down to shiny. This thing remembers codes like with a USB?

are there performance issues that will cost money to fix, and you're ducking replacing the catalytic converter, or MAP sensor for example?
