no sound coming from blinkers and door chimes

Following. My daughter just told me her 2018 Kia Sportage is doing the same thing. Local service garage doesn't have a clue.

I took my Sportage to the Kia dealer this morning and they said the problem was in something with the driver side speaker. They had to order parts. I hope this helps.

Did this solve the problem? My 2017 is doing the same thing.

I have same problem since a week No seatbelt warning No over 120km warning No back radar warning No welcome goodby chime No right , left signal tikgok I did computer scan every thing is fine Any idea

The problem is with a driver side speaker. My wifes car had this issue. Once the speaker was replaced, all sounds were back to normal.

There is a little speaker under the cover in the middle of the dashboard. I have changed the speaker, problem solved. New speaker A$75.

Just replaced mine... 2017 Kia Sportage. Problem started in late 2020 (about 4 years into car). Ordered from online Kia parts dealer and easy DIY replacement/fix. I don't know what makes the speaker go bad, but the new replacement fixed the issue. Part number 96390D9000. About $35 plus shipping. This speaker carries all the dash sounds such as seat belt warning, turn signals, reverse cross traffic, welcome sound, etc.

How were you able to pry off the dash speaker cover enough to replace the speaker? I can pry the front of it up, but the back seems to be attached to the dash.

Based on what I've found it looks like you need to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, remove the photo sensor (and then disconnect it from the connector, and then remove the cluster panel. Otherwise the photo sensor and its connector are going to keep you from being able to completely remove the grille. Kia Sportage 2017. Had this problem this morning with my indicators not clicking. Read this thread and applied “ percussion engineering “ to the speaker ( a good thump!). Fixed! Please try this before buying bits !

My 2017 Sportage has same issue. Kia charged $160+ to diagnose, after I told them what the issue is. The estimate to fix (for which they'll apply the diagnosis charge) is in excess of $400. I would recommend a local mechanic to fix it. Hopefully our car repair insurance will reimburse us.

After a few percussion taps, the speaker/ sounds totally failed. Took in to Kia, told them what I thought, the Engineer agreed stating it’s a common fault. Part ordered ( speaker) fitted and covered by 7 year warranty. Job done !

I just bought a 2018 Kia Sportage ex, are there any features that can be added like electronic etc.
