No power 89 d250

I have an 89 d250 with the 360, when you turn the
key on i have no power to the dash and nothing
happen when you turn the key to the start position,
wondering if something is wrong with the ignition
or something, the only thing that works is my
emergency flashers, could it be nuetral safety
issue? Im out of options on what it could be

Battery is good and the connectors are good as well truck was running earlier before i got it, and now it wont do anything, ghy i got it from said you had to wiggle the shifter and what not to find the sweet spot, so im thinking maybe something is the colom is bad but idk

Well if you have to wiggle the shifter for the sweet spot, thats going to be the neutral safety switch. It just may need some adjusting.
