2004 g35 overheating

I have a 2004 G35 while I'm driving car is good it
doesn't overheat but when I'm at idle and leave it
on for too long it starts to go up and overheat I
change the radiator cap and topped it off with
coolant really don't know what's going on I need
help please

Would at least try replacing thermostat. If that does not work there is most likely a restriction in the system. I would do the thermostat and at least back flush the radiator if it was mine. After you do that get a loaner pressure tester from you local parts store and see if there are any leaks.
