The switch cover

Asked by Pat Jun 25, 2018 at 04:42 PM about the 2006 INFINITI M35 x AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need to replace one of the plastic buttons on my master power window
switch, but Infiniti says that I have to replace the entire panel. Is this true?

They probably don't have a part number for just a button in that particular switch module, the vendor who supplies the part might have a part number for it but that's not in the dealer's supply chain, and would probably be like pulling teeth to get it. Try scavenging the part from a wrecking yard or pull-a-part. In fact you can probably get an entire replacement switch module dirt cheap and can replace the whole unit, versus operating on one.
