Clean and tighten all battery connections and negative connections on the frame and motor. Also test battery voltage. Did this just start happening out of the blue or was you driving it and the vehicle stalled? Any other issues happening leading up to this starting?

Take the spark plugs out and try to turn it over by hand. It should turn fairly easy. If it feels like its binding in any way I would take another look at the timing belt.

I believe that engine is an interference engine. If it jumped time or timing belt breaks the pistons will hit the valves. I am afraid this might be what you are dealing with.
