In gear, clutch is out, wont move.

Hey everyone, i purchased a 2000 ford explorer 5 speed yesterday. It was
doing well yesterday and today for the most part.
I was at a stop light and i was giving it some gas while letting the clutch out
slowly like normal then i noticed i was completely off the clutch and at 2000
RPMs and it car was not moving. It took about 6-10 seconds for it to start  
going. I am not mechanical savvy at all and I cannot find anything on the
problem either. Please help!

No I did not. I put the suv in gear and pushed in the e-brake and it stalled out when I released the clutch. A mechanic friend told me to try that to see if it would stay running or not. I guess it only starts to happen after being driven for a while? I came out to send a video of it to my friend and it wasn't doing it.

I checked the fluid level. It's full. I drove it about 5 miles this morning and everything is working as it should. I'm about to go on my dreaded 40 mile round trip to class. When it was messing up yesterday, from a stopped position, it was in gear and I didn't have my foot on the clutch while giving it some gas and it wasn't moving. It was acting like it was in neutral. I had to have the RPMs around 2500-3k for it to start going otherwise it would cut off.
