09 Pontiac G6 Odometer ERROR, Transmission rough, ABS, Traction control, etc..

Asked by GuruV8K14 Sep 04, 2018 at 07:14 PM about the 2009 Pontiac G6 SE I4 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2009 Pontiac g6. randomly (sometimes when just sitting there with the key in it) they gauges will all go flat, low fuel light comes on, power steering across radio, abs light, traction control light, and the car will begin having a really rough time shifting.  If I shut the car of while it is doing this, sometimes It will not turn back on for a while.  I have replaced the battery, alternator, ecm, camshaft sensor, cleaned all ground wires, and replaced the starter. Not sure what is causing this, but I am on a fixed income and have burnt through my savings. Please help!!

I have the same thing going on with my 06 G6. Mine started about a week ago. Torn the cluster out and checked the plug, found nothing. Going to check the bcm tomorrow and the alternator. Have you found anything helpful yet?

I had all that happening and my temperature gauge would go through the roof you probably have a leak in one of your hoses , I’d get that looked at or it might be fluid leaking into your temperature gauge .

I just got an 08 g6 gt and I’m having the same issues. My battery connectors are loose and I usually have to wiggle them to get my car to start. Could loose battery connection be causing the other issues?

I was told that it’s a bad cluster. Didn’t replaces cause I stop having the issue. I sold the car, now that person has the issue. I’ve noticed On cold days everything was fine now that it’s a warmer day the issue is starting again. Maybe something is getting to hot

Ground the ECM module under the hood. And the message goes away. The ECM isn't getting the proper ground. That is why the message pops up.
