Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi there.. I have a petrol car of 1.2l. Sometime, it struggles to pull the car and i
clearly feel lack of power. But sometimes it zips through easily. I have
checked with many garages but all told no issue. But i am sure that there is
issue. Can someone suggest what needs to be checked

I had a 1200 cc bike that was blinding fast but your car has half the power and 5 or 6 times the weight!

Haha.. i agree. suzuki swift has only 1.2l engine. But it is not with the weight. When i ask mech to check the plug, they say that if plug doesnt fire properly, it wont even start. I am not sure what to do. But sometimes when i start and drive, it moves really quick

But i am sure that it is not psychological. :)\

Its same on even the plain terrain. Please suggest if anything specific to be get checked

You could replace the spark plugs, fuel filter and air filter and run a good fuel system cleaner in the gas. Check the compression and if the valve clearance is adjustable have the clearances checked and have the catalytic converter tested for back pressure. Strip weight out of the car and you will notice the difference!

I will get that done. Thank you very much for your suggestions :)

Lose 100 pounds and you will notice a difference. Strip out 200 and it will feel fast (not really) but faster, yes. ;)
