Is there a kit available so that you can you turn on and off the AWD?

no. But I have seen guys get all the switches, relays and all the other stuff off a wrecked exploder and switch it, but you can only do that if you have a certain transfer case. other than that you will need to sell it and buy the 4x4 version, it will be cheaper to to that to (buy a 4x4 instead of trying to convert).
