Ball joint

When I turn it makes a creaking sound and was
wondering If this lower ball joint could be the
problem?

Maybe or maybe the tie-rod end. You need to get the car in the air and use a breaker bar to pry the joint, to see if you have extra movement. Check youtube for some videos on how to do this.
