blown fuse

I have a 95 dx hatch kept blowing the 10a fuse for the backup lights so i disconnected the backup switch on the manual trans and as long as its disconnected the fuse does not blow. everything is fine so i just left it un connected but I just dont have backup lights for the time being. please help

Probably a short circuit. Trace the backup light circuit and see if any wires have the insulation burned, melted, or worn off and replace that section.
