Are older Suv's worth considering?

I have seen an SUV I might purchase from a local auto repair shop.I can't tell the number of miles on it, but it could be close to 99,000. The exterior looks really good, as does the interior from what I can see. Is this vehicle worth consideration?

I would run away from this one and all old Hyundai's.

Thanks for this answer, and this prompts another question. Which is better, Ford or Chevrolet? I have been thinking of a Ford Focus, even a Ford Fusion. Have also seen a Chevrolet Aveo. Thoughts?

I like Fords and on the whole they are more reliable than a Chevy however in used cars there are a lot of variables. Research each model before you buy and have a mechanic inspect them. If you want an SUV check out the Escape, RAV4 and CRV.
