I put a new alternator and battery on my car and
when I crank the and let it run for a few mins I can
pull either battery cable off and the car cuts off is
that suspose to happen

Bad idea removing battery cable on vehicles that have a computer can fry the computer or alternator you could do that back in the day with older vehicles to check to see if alternator was good or not.

I jump started it n took battery to recharge, changed alternator and still doing the same thing of turning of all electric items in car n shutting off.
