I got in my car and when i tryed to start it but the
starter was making this grinding sound and the car
was not starting so i took the key out and the
starter kept making that sound i had to take the
battery lugs off to cut power to it should i get a
new starter

The three things you want to check are starter relay, starter solenoid, and ignition module. You can Google a basic "how to test" for the relay and solenoid, to ensure you don't needlessly replace a part.
