What's the solution to this strange cvondition

My car ov3rheated due to leaking radiator hoses. Replaced hoses, then car would crank but not
start. Determined battery had a dead cell. Immediately upon c connecting new battery, parking
lights came on and I  couldn't turn them off. Turned key and every light in dashboard came on.
Wiper blades started and couldnt be turned off. Even after disengaging and removing the key,
nothing would turn off until the battery was disconnected. What's wrong with my ca
