Asked by Sugar4sara May 23, 2016 at 04:54 PM about the 2004 Volkswagen Beetle GLS

Question type: General

When I get out of my 04 beers and lock it the alarm
is set I can tell by the chirp and red blinking light
with that being said once
Locked the panic alarm goes off for thirty seconds.
This happens sometimes right away it has also
happened in the middle of the night. My neighbors
hate me right now.  Twice I've gone out to leave
and the battery is dead. Ive put it on the trickle
charger and it's ok for a few day. Alarm still sounds
when system is engaged. Please help.

check in behind your seat belt on the driver side wall for a button. There should be a switch there if im not mistaken push and hold for 3 seconds or till the red light on your door alarm goes out and lock up should keep the alarm from going off. I had to do this with my 98 audi all the time. Its a fault in the motion sensor and the button just shuts it off.
