Mike, why not go to dealer and just have it checked? And why did you buy a car with a standing electrical problem ? IMOO one buys "problem cars" when you have a good background in the world of mechanics and have the knowledge and equipment to tackle it if not you are gambling with what ever you got in your pocket! or have at your disposal a great deal of buddies to pick you up every time it breaks down by the side of the road. Good Luck!

how recently did you buy the car? you should scan it for any CEL codes. i would check the fuse and or relay for the fan. also check your coolant levels. sounds like the car overheats. and just for kicks check your oil level.
