check the coil for fire and ground and signal at the connector clip with a test light. if getting good hot and ground at coil connector wires remove plug from coil and test fire from coil direct. if you have hot and ground at coil wire connector and if coil is firing then check your crank pos sensor. if coil direct is not firing but your getting hot ground and signal at the connector wire then you need a new coil. of course before you do any of that check fuses and relays. timing could be an issue but i dont have enough info to be sure. but i bet if you try what i said you will run down the problem. if u need ant answers on how to test these things let me know. hope this helps

Have a 99 3.0 did the same one day left me thrown would crank and crank but wouldn’t start finally changed ignition module inside distributor and fired up instantly
