Loud clicking Noise when engine runs, shuts off periodically

The oil light has been on for a couple months...a loud clicking noise started yesterday.  We changed the oil and the clicking stopped for a few minutes, but then started up again.  Is the engine blown? It shuts off periodically as well...please help!!

Same thing is happening to me. Mine doesn't shut off but its probably a valve rattling just have it checked out
