EPA estimates 20 city/28 highway, according to their website: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/15904.shtml This is still very economical by auto standards, for example, I just bought a 2008 Dodge Caliber, 2.0L engine, auto transmission, which is rated at 23/27.
