01 Honda civic

Asked by Buddy May 21, 2016 at 01:11 PM about the 2001 Honda Civic EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My gf has an 01 Honda civic ex. A while ago the
passenger side window would go down but not up.
I replaced the regulator motor on the passenger
side, that didn't fix it. I checked all the fuses, under
the dash and under the hood. They r all good.
Checked all the wiring and to the best of my
knowledge its all good. When I try to put the
window down on the passenger side the motor
clicks once, so it has power when you push the
button down but no noise when pushed up. On the
driver side, the button for the passenger window
doesn't work at all, no noise when pushed up or
down. The driver side window works perfectly fine.
Only a 2 door. Could it be the master switch on the
driver side??? Any suggestions, comments or
answer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes. check the master switch use a multimeter If a window moves its never a FUSE the the motor can rotate in both directions bi-directional apply power to +/- one direct next -/+ other direction thats why its NOT a fuse.. check your master switch My first check would have been passenger side switch, wiring to master then on to master.

So my honda stopped out of no where the wheel locked got a new battery but still never turned on
