Grounded my alternator no power now

Asked by GuruC3QVJ Mar 15, 2019 at 09:40 AM about the 2002 Honda Civic LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I just busted my butt installing a new head
gaslet in my 02 civic I really wabnted to cheat and
test my timing job with installing the alt and
powersteering pump so I hooked up the battery
and the car began to beep like normal as the keys
were in ignition. A few seconds later everythin g
was dead as a door nail. I glanced over to the
harness that goes to alternator and the pos
terminal was touching ground. I checked fuses but
they all seem good. What have I done guys? Is it
bad? What do I do to fix it?

There's a 60 amp. Fuse on the right strut tower. That's the alternator fuse.
