Older batteries can have internal shorts that can drain over night. I start buy fully charging the battery, and disconnecting it from the vehicle overnight. See if it's dead, or if there was a significant voltage drop over night. If it passes, then I would suspect a "leaky" diode in the alternator draining the battery. And if disconnecting the fuse didn't stop the "drain", then the power door is "innocent".
