Question type: General

2-3 times a week, I hear a "ding" sound in the dash area that sounds like a rock hitting the windshield on the passenger side, but no rocks are hitting it.

Have you had any maintenance or repair work done on this vehicle lately?

Only a backdoor window gasket. It had 9400 miles when I bought it in Oct of 16. Only an oil change

Are you running the Heat...or..AC when you hear this noise? If yes...turn the system completely Off to rule out a blower motor issue.

I do run the AC all the time since I live in Houston Texas. Don't know how much driving I can do without the AC on but will try.

Ok..understood. when you start hearing this noise...you might be hearing ICE on the evaporator core melting as the AC system cycles in an attempt to keep the interior of this vehicle at the temp you desire. Do you run here on MAX most of the time?

No never on max, and I usually hear it after it being parked all afternoon at work and only after I have driven a few miles. Once in a while it is it is after I have driven about 10-12 miles but the norm is within2-3 miles of starting after it has set for a while (several hours)
