I need to downsize in rim size unfortunately

Asked by GuruN1TTF Nov 03, 2019 at 11:50 AM about the 2016 Honda Accord Sport

Question type: General

I have a 2016 Honda Accord Sport with 19”
stock rims. It’s how I drove it out of the dealer.
I’ve found my car on top of bricks twice in one
month. My solution is to move but I simply
don’t have the resources. I was thinking of
downsizing in rims since I cannot find
anywhere 19” 5 lug universal rims. Would 18”
rims be safe to put on my car?

I am sure 18" wheels will fit but you should try them on to be sure. You still need the correct bolt pattern, width and offset. Are you using wheel locks?

Yes. Both times I had wheel locks. After the second time I invested in a heavy duty alarm. However, from my location I cannot hear the alarm due to it being on the other side of the building. I haven’t been able to drive my car for the past two months because at this point it’s a personal vendetta someone has. Getting picked up and dropped off is a hassle on anyone and everyone. Since I don’t have the resources to move or get another car, I’d figure changing the rims would be a better deterrent for now. Do you have any recommendations on iron or cheep steel rims? Perhaps from another brand of car?
