My 2005 Honda Accord EX in-line 4, 5-spead manual "studders" or vibrates periodically when shifting.

Asked by AZduck54 Sep 01, 2013 at 02:35 PM about the 2005 Honda Accord EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I start out in 1st gear the engine revs great but when shifting into second gear, every once in a while, the car "studders" or vibrates as if the fuel mix is not right.
This also happens, periodically, when shifting from 4th gear to 5th gear.
Any idea what the problem may be and costs involved.

It was the front axel which needed to be replaced but let me warn you, don't let them put in after market parts as I did because 5,000 miles later I had to go back for another set of axels. After market axels cost about $1,000 less but not a good deal if you are going to keep the car.
