2016 Jetta - gas tank lockable?

A friend is looking to buy a new car and is leaning toward a Jetta.   She lives
in NYC.  Right now two possible dealbreakers for her are the Horn upon lock
feature and the lack of a gas tank lock.   She said the tank doesn't lock and
anyone can open it when the car is unattended.  Is this true?

When you exit and lock the car, it also locks the fuel door, try it. At least it does on my 2016 S.
