EV miles different for different keys

Asked by Guru9P73BL Jul 10, 2022 at 11:28 PM about the 2016 Ford C-Max Energi SEL FWD

Question type: General

I noticed the other day that our hybrid battery miles was saying 17 miles.  It normally said 21 miles.  Then my wife, who uses her own key would tell me that the car had 21 miles on the battery.  I then noticed today after charging that when I started the car with her key, it says 22 miles.  I turned it off and came back with my key.  As soon as I started it with my key (also an admin key) the 22 miles changed to 18 miles.  My key always shows 4 miles less than hers.  What's going on?

The car/truck identifies different people by different fobs. Apparently your wife is getting better fuel economy than you..... You might try reading the owners manual.
