oil changing through the dipstick

I have drained my oil for many years by vacuuming it out the dip stick- so easy-  
I purchase a new (then) 2016 Outback 2.5 and am no longer able to get the
tubing down the dipstick as there seems to be an obstruction ???  I think
Subaru decided they were loosing to many dealer oil changes and designed
this fix.

The dip stick likely has a bend design used at manufacture that your vacuum hose cannot negotiate. Try a smaller diameter hose or a more flexible one. If they won't do the job, you will need to go back to draining the oil from the oil pan by way of the plug in it.
