2016 Kia Sedona LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We were in a bad wreck this past week. We were t-boned by another minivan going about 40. They hit the passenger side door  (where I was sitting) and all of our side air bags deployed. The wheel well was damaged and pieces of the interior were falling off. I haven't seen the car since I was injured and was dazed but am wondering what people's thoughts are on if these air bags go off if it will be a total? I'm concerned about it not being and the car being less safe since it's not been in a serious crash and the air bags have deployed. Thanks for any insight.

From my experiences, I would say it will be totaled. In most cases, air bag deployment is too costly to put back and also the frame has to be inspected. I would say you will be getting a totaled statement.
