have changed a couple of things on my 2016 F150 5.0
have added cold air intake, throttle body riser and muffler
mileage went from 15.1 to 13.2
I would reverse some of those things. The riser would be the first as they are simply gimmicks. The muffler should be OK and I would think that the cold air intake would not be a problem. Been driving with a heavy foot lately?
Usually adding things that make the vehicle sound better will cause your foot to press on the go fast pedal harder so you can hear your handy work. Over the years I have tried cat back exhaust and cold air intakes in order to get better mileage in my F-150s and all I got for my trouble was a better sounding truck, the same fuel mileage and a thinner wallet. I am thinking about putting an exhaust on my new 2018 F-150 5.0 4x4 super crew, but damn they are expensive.
