If it were mine I would change it at 7,500 miles or 1 year whichever comes first using a name brand conventional oil or a synthetic blend. If it were turbo charged I would use full synthetic and change at the same interval.

Your car has FREE oil changes for the first 4 years or 50,000 miles. The on-board computer will notify you when to get an oil change. Until the 'oil life' gets below 15-20% - Cadillac will not do a free oil change. Depending on your driving style - it will probably be 10-12k miles before the computer oil sensors say you need to change the oil and filter. GM generally uses a synthetic blend.
