Headlights turn off randomly when set to auto

Headlights set to auto and lights will go off randomly and come back on when I
switch to off and back to auto. When I switch to headlights instead of auto, they
do not come on either. Any ideas? This issue has me afraid to drive at night.

Multi Function Switch... We had the same happened with our 2016 Kia Optima! Got very vocal with Kia to find the problem due to safety concerns especially since we just started getting recall / lawsuit notice about fire issues in Kia!
