Ford fusion wrench light, but no OBD-II code

Asked by HelixFusion Jun 08, 2020 at 03:40 AM about the 2016 Ford Fusion SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi all. I have a 2016 Ford Fusion SE. After driving the car for a minute or two, the wrench light comes on, telling me to 'see owner's manual'. I took it to an autozone to have it scanned, no OBD-II codes were stored. I bought my own scanner, and again, no OBD-II codes stored. The wrench light is on, but no OBD code? What do I do? I'd hate to take it to the dealership because I know they charge $$$. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the answer. I'm surprised that autozone's scanner couldn't read the code, I would have expected those readers to be super legit. Alright, I'll have it taken to a mechanic, was hoping to avoid that. Thanks again for the answer.
