Why won't the auto climate control turn my A/C on or off, as the manual clearly states that it does?

Go to the dealer and ask- surely even your salesman could help you-

Did that. Twice. Sales, service techs, even Ford customer support can't answer my question. They act like they don't understand what I'm saying, which usually means they don't have an answer, or they just aren't allowed to admit that it does not do what it's supposed to.

The Auto setting doesn't turn the system on/off. It maintains the temperature at the setting you set. If you set it at 75 and it's 40 degrees outside, the heat will come on until the cabin is 75. If it's 90 outside, the A/C will come on and cool the cabin to 75. These systems are designed to heat/cool as quickly as possible so the fan may blow high until the temperature is reached.
Mine is doing the same thing I do I get it to work I call the dealership they act like they don't no
Previous answer is right. Raise the temperature high enough so it exceeds the temperature in the car. The auto system will recognize it does not have to work any longer to reach the desired temp and will stay off.
