Mass Air Flow/Check engine light.

Hello! So my Mass Air Flow Sensor popped code
about a month and a half ago.. We cleaned it, reset
the check engine and about a week and a half later
it came back on. I didn't have the money to get it
fixed in the moment and maybe 5 days later the
check engine light went off. My boyfriend drove my
car to work today (I'm gonna say a week after it
popped off) and it's back on again. Would this be a
connection problem?

If cleaning didn't fix it then you will likely need to replace it. You can try carefully reseating it, but if that doesn't do it then you'll have to replace it. Also a MAF can only be cleaned with a dedicated MAF cleaner, anything else (like carb cleaner) will damage it. Sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet.

Thanks Ken! Just thought it was weird it went off when we reset it, came back on, went back off and now is back on again.
