2015 Impreza engine blow

Asked by Brad Nov 30, 2020 at 08:27 PM about the 2015 Subaru Impreza 2.0i Sport Premium Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Was driving my car and suddenly the engine
start making a loud clicking and the front end
was vibrating violently.  Had a Subaru
specialist look at it and said a cheap oil filter
could have destroyed the engineZ. Any
thoughts?

A bad oil filter could starve the engine of oil. Have the mechanic cut open the filter to see if that was the problem.
