How many more miles before my engine blows up?

I have a 2001 Ford Excursion with a 6.8L v10 with 397,000 miles on it how
many more miles do you think she has left in her before she blows up on me?

@F_O_R thank you lol thats for sure she runs great but I've been looking into getting a 7.3 powerstroke and swapping it in when the v10 blows so i can get the 7.3 bought and ready to be installed.

Only you can judge how long it will last. Since you have got that far you must know the engine very well. Take into account the oil consumption, fuel economy, power and any funny noises. The diesel would be a nice conversion.

do a compression test and leak down test on it, will give you some idea where engine is at.

I have a 2000 Ford Excursion V10 that has 525K original mile and still runs pretty good. I put all but 25k on the truck and Ford has done most of the maintenance work on it. The engine hasn't had any major work. Replaced the transmission at 325k+-. I've used a lot of expensive synthetic oil and changed frequently. I plan on getting another 100k+.
