Normally cooling fans run when u turn on the AC. Unless it's a squeaky noise it's normal for cooling fans to turn on. Open the hood and watch the cooling fans kick in while someone else turns on the AC and see if you can pin point it out.
Check to see if your blower motor isnt spinning freely. Usually water will seep onto the fans shaft and it tend to cause a resistance. This is why it sounds like it is over working itself. just take the blower out and giver her some lube. It's a good temporary fix. Or you could always just buy a new one. Hope that helps! This was the solution in my situation anyway.. If that doesnt help, try replacing the thermostat. If it gets stuck, this will also cause it to over work itself. Good luck!
