First of all I never post anything but I had to post this. I recently bought a used 2005 escape limited 3.0 v6 , it had “change engine now “ and “right rear door ajar” message on the dash message display. I tried everything I read and watched for 2 days and it would not go away. Then this morning I’m sitting at a red light and just for kicks I pushed the set button below my radio and the message center started to display messages, I hit the info button next repeatedly until the oil message came up it said to hit the set button and hold and in about 3 seconds it said “engine oil at 100% and then it went through a series of messages like “eco system ok” , “tail gate closed “ ,”interior lamps ok” etc. and after about 3 or 4 more messages it’s was fixed all warning or check messages were clear . This was all done at a red light in less than 30 seconds with the truck running . It was crazy but it’s fixed. I hope this can help at least one person because it was frustrating to me how I COULDNT figure it out, but by chance I did.
