Jeep Patriot transmissions

I took my 2015 Jeep Patriot in for a transmission fluid change. They came out
and told me they can't do it and in fact, no one can. I asked how would I then
maintain the transmission and the mechanics said that I either buy a new
transmission or a new vehicle. So this is either a terrible vehicle and/or (both) a
terrible car dealership. What should I do?

It can and should be changed. Was this a Jeep dealer or an independent shop?
