No. Always negotiate the best price before telling them how you are going to pay. Paying by cash or check keeps them from making extra profit on the vehicle financing.

It depends on what type of dealership you are buying from. Big dealerships/franchise ones wouldn't like that much. I have a small dealership and I love dealing with cash paying or basically outright purchases. I always consider a discount for a customer paying in full.

Please for the love all that is good and right in the world if you have cash to spend do not buy a Jeep Cherokee or you will need more cash to pay for all the repairs. LEMON!
