Just went through same thing in my 93 sierra. You have a short in it, pull starter and wrap wires SEPERATELY with electrical tape and hook it back up, should be good to go!

A short in the starter or ignition switch

Starter wires coming from battery

Fuse 40a ignition a was blown replaced blew again where might I find a short I have a loose black wire with a white stripe by the distributor cap but that wire comes from bundled wires and I have no idea where it plugs in

Maybe a ground? Look at all grounds and see if there's a loose wire

I don't see anywhere for it to go here is a better look at the wire in question
