Stalls when brake is applied.

Asked by Homeboyrod Nov 27, 2016 at 12:48 PM about the 1999 GMC Yukon SLE 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 GMC Yukon with the 5.7. The truck is
not showing any codes. It will start and run but as
soon as I hit the brake pedal it stalls the won't start
again for a long time. I thought at first it was the
fuel pump but it has a new one and the fuel
pressure is fine. Someone told me it could be the
ignition control module but its getting spark.
Maybe someone has seen this problem and can
help. I'm hoping not to have to bring it in to a shop.
