Need help ! 2015 Ford Explorer

I have a 2015 Ford Explorer and my engines lower
shield decided to break some clips off and fall out .
It says on the sheild that it’s required to have
sheild installed for cooling purposes . Will it be
okay to drive my car around until my new clips and
screws come in or is that sheild that important for
cooling ? I know it’s protexts

It would be OK to drive around town for a short time but keep an eye on your engine temp. Replace the air damn (shield) when it come in.
